The data base of global and diffuse radiation maps are pyranometer and ScaPP measurements from the radiation measuring network of the Deutscher Wetterdienst and a satellite-derived product of CM SAF (Satellite Application Facilitiy on Climate Monitoring). Direct radiation is determined as the difference between global and diffuse radiation.
